My fam were tried and true Andy's Pizza fans. Came here every week for years and years. When it became Cristo's - it took us a bit to make a try.
This past week I met a friend here for dinner and OH WOW!!! It was SO good I couldn't get it out of my mind!! Had to order for my workplace for lunch the following week :)). I'm a fan all over again - for a new place, Cristo's. -

Recently, I got the Brooklyn Pie which is the equivalent of a typical Margherita pizza (red sauce, mozz & basil). The crust was just ok - it honestly tasted better when I heated it up in my oven at home the next day. I love me some garlic, but the red sauce had so much garlic that it made my car smell like garlic for a couple days after driving the pizza home. I appreciate the amount of mozzarella on the pizza, but wished the basil was added after the pizza was baked rather than already on the pizza when it was put into the oven. Cristo's is really close to my apartment, so I may be willing to give it another chance, but I also might prefer to drive a little bit further for a better pie...

Updating my review since I've been here around 20 more times since my last review. On my first visit they were just having a bit of an off night so glad I didn't let that stop me from heading in again. Seriously their lasagna is the best I've ever had. I can't manage to order anything else every time I'm in. I always manage to eat some of my husband's penne alla vodka though and that is delicious as well. But seriously do yourself a favor and order the lasagna. To get a side Cesar salad with your meal it is a $1 up charge which I wish they didn't do, but I still go for every time. Dinner for two pickup wise is around $35, but we always have leftovers for the next day.
I like that pickup is super easy from here and they always do a great job packaging everything up. They use those aluminum carry out containers and everything stays super hot. Or if you want to dine in you can usually always score a table as well. -

I am always suspicious when a pizza place in NC advertises as NY style. Most times the crust is too soft, or the cheese tastes fake. Cristo's gets it almost spot on! And they have a $5 lunch deal which is 2 slices and a drink. We went as a group so it took a while to get the food, but it was worth the wait! Looking forward to trying some of their entrees as well!

Family and I were really in the mood for some really good pizza. This place did not disappoint. We ordered an xl 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni and it was delicious. Truly enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere. Brittany was our server and she was very pleasant and personable. Definitely will be back. Extremely pleased that it's so close to home.
